This is the week that our chicks will arrive! The first chicken tractor is finished and is indoors waiting for the tiny arrivals. Part of the interior has been blocked off using bales of shavings to keep all 50 of them in the same area with the heat lamps to keep them warm. There are shavings spread out in their area, with waterers and feeders waiting to be cleaned before their first use.
The chicks are supposed to hatch and be shipped tomorrow. The egg yolk can sustain them for 3 days, and hopefully they will be here by then. Anticipation!
